Global Health Impact: Innovations That Are Improving Health in America's Indigenous Tribal Communities | FINN Voices
People living in indigenous tribal areas across the United States, and the rural communities around them, often face significant challenges accessing quality care. Providing a sustainable way of delivering medical training and support to health care professionals serving these areas is an ongoing issue, but some organizations have pioneered practices to bridge professional development gaps and improve patient care. One organization, Arc Health, and their Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Jim Galloway, has developed novel partnerships with leading medical centers around the country to reinforce the level of care that patients in indigenous tribal areas receive. Our conversation uncovers some of the lessons and practices that Dr. Galloway and ArcHealth have employed, and how they may serve as a model for community healthcare in other parts of the world.
